Sofia Al-Azwar ( Arabic: صوفيا الأزور) is the manager of the Casablanca branch of the Continental Hotel who assisted John Wick in finding The Elder when he was declared excommunicado.

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum

Sofiia resides in Casablanca, Morocco, with two Belgian Malinois who are trained for combat. Though she initially refused to aid John Wick when he was being hunted by The High Table, she ultimately relented due to having the obligation to honour the marker she had given him years ago. Although John and Sofia got in trouble with Sofia's former boss, Berrada, both of them managed to escape to the desert, where Sofia left John to find the Elder of the High Table.

She has a daughter, whose name and location are unknown. Some speculate she is one of the Ballerinas.

Steadfast and observant, she takes no nonsense from anyone. Her climb to Management of the Casablanca Continental has come at a high price, and by the time John Wick arrives to collect her Marker, the only thing she trusts besides herself are her two combat-ready dogs. Sofia was shown to be mad at John for bringing trouble to her Casablanca Continental, since he was excommunicado. By bringing up the marker, she's obligated to help him against her benefit, possibly fearing that her daughter being kept in hiding may be compromised. She also loved her dogs to a point when she refused Berrada's request to keep one of them for himself and it was Berrada's attempt against her dog's life that triggered hers and John's battle against Berrada's henchmen.

Abilities

• Master Markswoman: She demonstrated high experience with firearms during her battles against Berrada's men. She mostly used handguns and she would occasionally resort to throwing her weapons when she ran out of ammo.
• Master Martial Artist: Sofia was able to match most in combat when fighting alongside John Wick in Morocco. Her fighting style mirrors John's, consisting of arts like Aikido, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Krav Maga.
• Expert Assassin: Sofia used to be a remarkable assassin until she was selected to be the manager of Casablanca's Continental Hotel. However, this position has not diminished her level of skill, as shown when she was able to kill most of her adversaries during hers and John's fight out of Morocco, needing only occasional assistance from her dogs in times when she was being overpowered.
• Bilingualism: Sofia is fluent in speaking English and Arabic, especially when she commands her dogs in Arabic.
• Animal Training: Sofia was able to train her dogs to respond to precise commands and help her in fight. Her dogs are quick and adept during fights, especially when it comes to rushing and climbing to strike their targets. Sofia's equipment, including as magazines, was also equipped by the dogs on their vest.

Equipment

• SIG Sauer P365: This handgun was first shown when Sofia reunited with John and she used it shoot him in the chest, which was covered by a Kevlar-lined suit, leaving John unharmed. She hid one of these guns in the armor of one of her dogs in case hers and John's meeting with Berrada went south, which eventually came true when he shot one of the dogs, who was saved by its bulletproof armor. After killing Berrada's henchmen, she shot Berrada in the leg to inflict more pain upon him in revenge for his attempt to kill her dog.
• SIG Sauer MPX: After the meeting with Berrada turned into a gun fight, Sofia took this submachine gun from one of the guards and used it to kill some assassins. She eventually ran out of ammo, forcing Sofia to throw this firearm against another of her opponents.
• TTI Glock 19: After discarding the submachine, Sofia managed to disarm a guard from his Glock 19 and proceeded to use it to kill him and some of his fellow guards until she lost it during the fight.
• Glock 17: Sofia eventually acquired this Glock from another guard and used it to dispatch several of her enemies until she was disarmed of it and was briefly overpowered by two men. She ultimately managed to overpower both of her opponents before leaving the Glock behind.
• Glock 34 MOS: She acquired this Glock from yet another assassin in Casablanca and used it to dispatch many more of her enemies as well as some assassins heading towards her and John in a car, allowing her and John to steal the car and head to the desert.

• Lerna and Orthrus are the names of her two Belgian Malinois dogs^[1].
• Sofia has a tattoo ( هذه هي الحياة التي اخترتها) around her neck which means ''This is the life that I chose'' in Arabic^[1].
• Sofia is a playable character in Fortnite.
